NEXT MEETING:  Tuesday, March 15, at 1 PM at the Wakeman Center in Vineyard Haven.  Suzan Bellincampi, Director of Massachusetts Audubon’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary is our speaker. Her topic is Invasive Species:  The Wicked Washashores.

About the Program:
Invasive Species:  The Wicked Washashores
Native, introduced, nonnative, invasive?  What does it all mean, why does it matter, and what plants should you avoid to make your Vineyard landscape one that serves the needs of the island’s flora and fauna.

About Suzan:
Suzan Bellincampi has spent the last 15 years on Martha’s Vineyard, focusing her efforts on education, conservation, and building community around a shared love of nature.  She is Director of Mass Audubon’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary and writes the weekly All Outdoors nature column for the Vineyard Gazette.  Her first book, Martha’s Vineyard: A Field Guide to Island Nature, was named one of the Best Books of New England by the Boston Globe in 2014.  She lives in West Tisbury with her bees and her honey in a home built by two.

IMPORTANT:
From October through May, all meetings will be held at the Wakeman (Conservation) Center in Vineyard Haven. Parking at the Wakeman Center is limited.  Please carpool. Click HERE for driving directions.
