Coming From 'OFF ISLAND' and getting to the OLD MILL in West Tisbury

The official address of the Old Mill is 690 Edgartown-West Tisbury Road in West Tisbury.
The ferry schedules from Woods Hole to MV are here: https://www.steamshipauthority.com/schedules . If you are taking the ferry and plan to ‘walk on’ choose the ferry that arrives in Vineyard Haven. Arrival in Vineyard Haven has the best options as far as a bus route to get you to the Old Mill. The MV Transit/bus website is vineyardtransit.com . You would take the Number 3 bus from Vineyard Haven which drops you at the West Tisbury Town Hall. The Old Mill in West Tisbury is a short walk from there, although the road can be a bit busy. There is a walking trail from the West Tisbury library https://westtisburylibrary.org/publiclibrary (close to the Town Hall) to the Old Mill.
If you choose to take a taxi to the Old Mill from Vineyard Haven (and visa-versa) we recommend Lighthouse Taxi, #508-645-6066 or Cottage City Cab, # 508- 693-3500.
Also, in Vineyard Haven at the Steamship Authority there are usually several taxis waiting to pick up folks getting off the ferry so that is an option as well. Those taxis are most often vans and could probably accommodate up to 8 people. In addition, Uber pick ups can be scheduled in advance.

*The Field Gallery - An outdoor (and indoor) gallery with oversized fun statues and art displayed inside, and rotated from time to time. An iconic spot for sure! https://fieldgallery.com/

*7a for food - http://www.7afoods.com/ Quite yummy for breakfast and/or lunch options. One of our members highly recommends the Liz Lemon sandwich (which should be eaten there while it is hot). Also recommended is the Mozzarella on Focaccia...delish! This is a very casual place with no inside seating. Sometimes it's best to call ahead with your order as it can be busy. Another yummy food recommendation here is their vegetarian chili.
If you choose to take your car on the ferry to get to the Old Mill, be sure to visit the beautiful Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury while you are here. Polly Hill's website is https://www.pollyhillarboretum.org/ . You can walk the property at your own pace and see specimen trees, native plants and shrubs (which are all well marked with common and botanical names) on a bucolic and historic property. There is a $5.00 admission and the Arboretum is open from 9:30am - 4pm May through October.
Ferry service ‘in season’ operates from Oak Bluffs (begins around Mid-May through mid-October) and Vineyard Haven (operates year round) , and from either port, the drive to West Tisbury and the Old Mill is approximately 15 minutes.
