LOOKING TOWARDS BLOOMING ART, 2023
Friday, Saturday, Sunday ~ JUNE 16, 17, 18
Picture
Blooming Art is our Club's Biggest Fundraiser of the Year...and we need our members help to make it happen!

Last year was a turning point for Blooming Art.  Not only was it very successful financially due to the beautiful art and floral designs, but the people who worked on it had fun! Lots of partnering, communication and
camaraderie.
Several new members participated last year, and most of us learned something about floral design. This year our goal is to involve even more members - no expertise or experience required!

Committees coordinate the planning, and 40 members are recruited to make floral arrangements, so it’s a Club-wide endeavor of which we’re very proud. The first committees to start planning then heat up as the event comes closer.

Some examples of volunteer opportunities for Blooming Art 2023 are:
Artist selection and coordination – this committee invites the artists, receives their forms and art photos, verifies documentation about the art for the program, and arranges drop-off and pick-up.

Floral designer recruitment and training – this committee enlists volunteer designers, arranges discounts with the nurseries, coordinates training and assistance, and schedules floral drop- offs.

The above two committees work together at the “match meeting” in May to assign designers to artists – a very fun day!

As spring progresses the other committees become more active in the following ways:
Picture
Print materials – this committee works with the Steven Chapman and the printer to identify the
number of posters required and hang them, as well as proofread the posters and programs.

Operations – this committee coordinates with the town for permits, arranges cleaning and the
floorplan, and ensures supplies are available.

Docents – this committee recruits volunteers to be docents, develops a schedule, and instructs
the docents.

Picture
Staging – this committee hangs the art and stages the pedestals for the floral designs.

Cleanup – this committee helps dismantle the event.

If you have questions or would like to learn more about how you can participate in and volunteer for Blooming Art, do email or call President Susan Hobart, as she is chairing the Blooming Art, 2023.
