Upcoming Events & Programs

The annual DAFFODIL WALK THROUGH SEVEN GATES will take place on FRIDAY, April 26th, from 1 to 5 pm.
This event is not open to the general public, but MV Garden Club  members are welcome to bring guests.

Get a map at the gate and then proceed to Seven Gates House #1 (Martha's) to get detailed maps of the MVGC walk/drive.  Check your email for a message from Katherine Long with more information.

Art in Bloom at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston:
On April 29th, many members will be traveling to Boston for the annual Art in Bloom event where Barbara Shriber and Louise Thorpe will be representing the Martha's Vineyard Garden Club. Their floral arrangement will pay tribute to Sir Uvedale Price, Baronet. To learn more about Sir Price, and why he remains important today, click here.

The Greenhouse: Our greenhouse crew has been hard at work on Monday mornings; everything is flourishing!  We are well on our way to a great annual Plant Sale, but we could use more help. Join us on Monday mornings from 9:30 to 11 at the Wakeman Center.
NOTE:
The Greenhouse Plant Sale for Members will be held one hour before and one hour after the May 21 meeting  at the Wakeman Center
The Greenhouse Plant Sale for the General Public will be held on Memorial Day Weekend; details to be announced.

May Field Trip to Nurseries:
On Saturday, May 4th, there will be a Members Field Trip to Quansett Nurseries in  South Dartmouth, MA. This field trip resulted from Fred Dabney's outstanding presentation at the June 19th meeting last year.
We will leave on the 8:15 boat and return on the 6:15 boat.  If you would like to join us, you need to contact Katherine Long ASAP. [Katherine's email is longkat@comcast.net or click here.]  We may need volunteers to drive. If you are willing to drive, please let Katherine know.

Bloomin' Art Exhibit:
The opening reception will be held on Friday, June 28, at the Old Mill. The exhibit will continue on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June, 30.  Details to follow in May.

The weather was perfect on April 10th for the Annual Spring Clean-Up at the Old  Mill.
