THE SEPTEMBER MEETING is at the the Old Mill.
The program begins at 1pm.

PROGRAM:  Gardening is Murder

WITH: Neal Sanders, Writer and Garden Blogger

About the Program:

Why is much gardening information on the internet so awful?  Why is it impossible to do just one thing in the garden? Why should you nevercompute the value of your labor when you garden? These are the questions that keep Neal Sanders awake at night.  As the spouse of an avid gardener with no ‘real’ responsibilities other than to dig holes and move rocks, Neal has lots of time to observe gardeners and their foibles. ‘Gardening Is Murder’ is a very funny look at gardeners and gardening through the eyes of someone who gardens more the love of a spouse than to raise vegetables or see things bloom.
About our September speaker:

Neal Sanders is the author of thirteen mysteries, eight of which involve horticulture and several of those which use garden club settings.  He writes the popular ‘The Principal Undergardener’ blog, which addresses gardening as a non-gardener who loves gardens.  His talk is adapted from those essays.  He and his wife, horticulturalist and lecturer Betty Sanders, maintain a very large garden in Medfield, Massachusetts that has been featured in the Wall Street Journaland included in the Garden Conservancy’s ‘Open Days’ program.

Driving directions from the entrance to the MV Airport
(at the intersection of Airport Road and the Edgartown:
