November 2017 Monthly Meeting

THE NOVEMBER MEETING is at the Wakeman Center.

On Tuesday, November 14, Emily Coulter will speak about Holiday Decorating.

Emily will present some fresh ideas for our holiday tables
and will be doing a tablescape.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER FOR NOVEMBER:

Emily Coulter never thought about being a florist. But a connection between her dad and the previous owner of Morrice Florist in 2014 led not only to a change in her life, but to a connection with flowers that has made her realize this was something she was always meant to do.

When she bought Morrice Florist, Emily had zero floral experience, but knew that it would be a perfect fit and a good change for not only herself, but for her family. She had a steep learning curve, but found floral design came very naturally to her. She has since taken some professional classes and created a beautiful gift shop while growing the business over the last three years. Emily says, “I feel connected to the individuality of each stem and the beauty and impertinence of each design we create. My hands are sore, but my heart is full.”

After growing up on the Vineyard, Emily attended Newbury College in Boston and earned a degree in Interior Design. She worked for a while in New York City, but missed the island and returned home.  She is married and has two daughters, Madeleine, 5, and Eloise, 7.

Hope to see you there!
