TIPS  for collecting,: Since there  is little or no no color, this is a real exercise in looking for interesting shapes and textures. For example smooth surfaces like the inside of a milkweed pod, give a lovely shine when painted. Small things that don't have a stalk can be added with a glue gun, or by adding and wrapping a piece of floral wire or toothpick.
