PROGRAM:  Osprey: Back from the Brink - A Wildlife Success Story 
with 
Suzan Bellincampi, Director, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, Mass Audubon

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Forget the gloom and doom, Felix Neck Sanctuary’s Suzan Bellincampi has some wildlife good news! It is a story of legislation, luck, determination, hard work, and a community that cares. Find out about the threats to this species and how the Vineyard took care of it own to create a thriving population of birds and a cadre of volunteers who watch over and protect them

ABOUT SUZAN:
Suzan Bellincampi has spent 20 years on Martha’s Vineyard sharing nature through teaching, writing, and speaking. She is Director of Mass Audubon’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary and writes the weekly All Outdoors column for the Vineyard Gazette. Her first book, Martha’s Vineyard: A Field Guide to Island Nature was named one of the Best Books of New England by the Boston Globe in 2014. Her latest book, The Nature of Martha’s Vineyard, is a retrospective of favorite essays. She lives in West Tisbury with her bees and her honey in a home they built themselves.

NOTE:  Although the address is 67 David Avenue, the best way to get to the Wakeman Center is via Helen Avenue.​

IMPORTANT:  
From now until spring,  all meetings will be held at the WAKEMAN CONSERVATION CENTER in Vineyard Haven.  
Parking at the Wakeman Center is limited.  Please carpool.

Our meetings are open to the public; there is a meeting fee of ten dollars for non-members, which will be waived for the November meeting!
