Celebrating a Century of Conservation and Community
Founded in 1924 as the first conservation organization on Martha’s Vineyard, the Garden Club has a rich legacy of promoting gardening, horticulture, and environmental stewardship. This section celebrates our Centennial milestones, delves into the treasures of our archives, and shares the story of The Old Mill, our beloved Summer Home and a symbol of our enduring commitment to preserving the Island’s beauty and heritage.

Discover Our Roots: Historical Records at the MV Museum

The Martha’s Vineyard Garden Club is proud to share that its rich history is preserved at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum. The collection includes minutes, reports, yearbooks, newsletters, scrapbooks, correspondence, and photographs that document the club’s legacy of community beautification and horticultural education. These materials offer a fascinating glimpse into the club’s contributions over the years.
