PROGRAM: Hunting Down Wild Plants on Martha's Vineyard
The search for new, previously undiscovered, or rare vascular plants here on the Island.

ABOUT Margaret and Gregory:
Margaret Curtin and Gregory Palermo are research associates of the Polly Hill Arboretum and self-taught field botanists who are working on the Arboretum-directed project to update The Flora of Martha’s Vineyard, which was published in the 1990s. They spend part of most days during the growing season searching for wild plants; recording their locations; and taking samples for pressing, drying, and archival storage at the Polly Hill Arboretum herbarium. They have expanded the known Vineyard flora by more than 100 species over the last several years.
