Rhode Island Flower Show
The Tisbury Travel Club has arranged a trip the Rhode Island Flower Show on Thursday, February 20th. The Flower Show is held in the Providence Convention Center which is attached to the Providence Mall. The trip is open to all adults and costs $38.00 (including admission to the Show). |
Attendees mustl take the 8:15 am ferry, and they will return on the 5:00 pm. A motor coach will meet attendees in Woods Hole 9 am and take everyone to the venue and back. (You must incur the cost of your own boat ride.) If you are interested in going on this excursion please call Sandy at Tisbury Travel Club at 508-696-4205 ASAP.
The convention center has heated theater seating for the informative speakers. "This year's show combines America’s passion for gardening with our love affair for classic cars. Vintage autos will be the centerpieces and time theme for the gardens, ie., 1950’s period garden featuring a classic Belaire, or an Italian piazza featuring a classic Ferrari. This show will be like no other show in the country! The show will showcase garden displays and 250 larger-than-life garden marketplace vendors. See demonstrations and lectures, with an emphasis on organic gardening and sustainable landscaping."
The enclosed sky-bridge connects to the Providence Place Mall (so this trip could also be a shopping expedition). For more information see:
