NOTE: August is also our ANNUAL MEETING. This will precede C.L. Fornari's presentation. We are meeting at the OLD MILL (690 Edgartown Road, WT). The meeting begins at 1 PM. Parking is limited; please carpool. Please try to attend.
We are VERY happy to announce that C. L. Fornari (aka The Garden Lady) is our speaker. Her topic is: The Cocktail Garden.
About C.L. Fornari: C.L. Fornari is the author of several books including The Cocktail Hour Garden and Coffee for Roses. She hosts the GardenLine on WXTK radio every Saturday morning, and she grows far too many plants at Poison Ivy Acres on Cape Code. C.L.'s Program: "Life in the 21st century is jam-packed. It becomes even more important to take a break at the end of the work day, put aside our digital devices, and reconnect with other people and the natural world. This talk explores how we can all benefit from a garden created for the senses. Whether you sit in such a space with a cup of coffee in the morning, an iced tea in the afternoon, or a cocktail at the end of the day, the Cocktail Hour Garden will be a refuge where you can relax, recharge, and connect with others." You can learn more about C.L. Fornari at http://GardenLady.com or click HERE. Note: From June through September, all meetings are held at the Old Mil on the Edgartown Road in West Tisbury. Parking is limited. Please carpool. See map >>. Upcoming Meetings: Check HERE to see who else will be speaking in 2016. * PLEASE NOTE: Our meetings are open to the public; there is a meeting fee of ten dollars for non-members. Any updates and weather-related scheduled changes will be noted here and messages sent via email to members. |
NOTE: The Google map below is deceiving. The Old Mill is located directly across the street from the Mill Pond. The Mill Pond (to the left of the red marker on the map ) is actually larger than it appears on this map. For driving directions, click HERE.
